The holy grail of fixing hair.

When someone cares for their hair properly but all of a sudden the hair no longer feels as soft and awesome as usual, when hair starts to tangle easily, feel dry or the ends feel like they desperately need a trim even though no split ends are to be seen then it is time for the holy grail!

The treatment is simple:
- clarify your hair with a clarifying shampoo (I prefer Suave): this removes all the build-up on top of your hair strand
- chelate your hair with a chelating shampoo (if you frequent pools or have hard water) this removes all the mineral build-up inside your hair strand (I use Itely Advance Chelating Shampoo )
- if you only want to use one shampoo to remove all the build-up consider Joico K-Pak Clarify Chelating Shampoo
- do an SMT:
  • 1 part honey (microwave or heat until it bubbles up to avoid hair lightening/damage)
  • 1 part aloe vera gel (the clear kind, I like the one at CVS)
  • 4 parts heavy conditioner (my favorites are V05 Freesia or Strawberries)
Mix them well, apply generously to mostly or fully dry hair, place a shower cap or grocery bag over your head, wait one hour, and rinse it out (NO washing, just rinse it out with water).

This will revive your hair in most cases. The only situation where this does not work is if your hair lacks protein (if hair strands are super stretchy and when you stretch them out they do not bounce back) in which case after your hair is clarified do a protein treatment (a good one is Cholesterol) then follow up with the SMT.
